Eggnog Mousse

This delicious eggnog mousse is done in the traditional way - with whipped egg whites - but comes together in minutes. A fairly low effort - but fancy - Christmas dessert!

YOU WILL NEED: Heavy cream Eggnog Granulated sugar Large eggs Unflavored gelatin powder Rum extract Nutmeg

In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over eggnog and allow to soak for 5 minutes.

In a VERY clean bowl, use an electric mixer to whip egg whites until soft peaks form.  (You can use a stand mixer) Slowly add the sugar, keep whisking until stiff peaks form.

Heat the gelatin mixture in the microwave in 10 second intervals until melted.

In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream, eggnog, rum extract, and nutmeg, then fold in the egg white and gelatin mixture.

Pour into 4 serving glasses, chill until set.    Enjoy!
