Maple Caramel Apple Pie

Classic apple pie recipes are usually great, but this caramel apple pie recipe takes it to another level.  Bonus? It's a maple syrup based caramel - delicious... and the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving dinner!

YOU WILL NEED: 2 Pie Crusts* Fresh Apples Pure Maple Syrup Brown Sugar Heavy Cream Butter Cornstarch Vanilla Extract Ground Cinnamon Large Egg Salt   * See the linked post for links to my Perfect Pie Crust recipe and my Gluten-Free Pie Crust recipe!

Following the linked recipe, make your par-cooked apple pie filling.

As the apple pie filling is cooling, make the maple syrup caramel sauce - easy!

Roll one crust out, line a pie pan with it, and trim.   Roll the remaining crust and trimmings, cut into strips.

Mound the cooled apple pie filling into the pie crust, top with maple syrup caramel.

Following the easy linked instructions, assemble your lattice pie top crust.

Whisk together the egg wash ingredients, brush the crust. Bake, then enjoy!
