Maple Pumpkin Mousse

This maple pumpkin mousse is made the traditional way, with whipped cream & egg whites. A wonderfully festive dessert for Thanksgiving Dinner!

YOU WILL NEED: Pumpkin puree* Maple syrup Pumpkin Pie Spice Unflavored gelatin powder Heavy cream Large eggs Vanilla extract Salt * Be sure to use pumpkin puree, rather than pumpkin pie filling.  

Combine pumpkin puree, maple syrup, spice, vanilla, and salt together in a large mixing bowl, set aside.

Following the directions in the linked recipe, bloom and melt the gelatin.

Pour melted gelatin into pumpkin puree mixture, stir well.  Set aside as you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

In a separate bowl (Or stand mixer), whip egg whites until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold into pumpkin mixture.

Whip cream until stiff peaks form, then carefully fold into the pumpkin mixture.

Pour into serving glasses, chill until set. Garnish as desired, and enjoy!
